Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend, darlings!  Are you packing up and heading out of town for the long weekend?  Like these folks in their Airstream?  Or, are you staying home to relax?  My very busy week has ended on a high note, and I look forward to pouring a glass of wine and catching up on last night's episode of Real Housewives of NYC (I've heard it's a doozy!).  My guilty pleasure.

Have a fabulous weekend with the people you love.

P.S.  The Vintage Baby Sale was a huge success, but there are still a few great things left in the shop!  Hurry, because I am pulling them off the site tonight at midnight EST.

Friday's Etsy Shop: Poor Dog Farm

In honor of the 'Vintage Baby Sale' this week, I have decided to feature one of the most imaginative artists on Etsy, Poor Dog Farm.  I just DIE over these regal little illustrations-- frogs wearing golf caps, birds wearing motorcycle helmets (!) and owls in glasses!  I want to learn more about these eccentric characters... they are so intriguing.

How PERFECT are these for a kid's room?

For even more fabulous examples, shop at Poor Dog Farm's shop.  HERE.

Current Inspiration

I'm swamped with work today-- wrapping up purchases from yesterday, and getting ready for a design presentation tomorrow!  I have a fabulous new client in the city and her style is very tailored, casually sophisticated (without trying too hard)... and with a little bit of the "unexpected" thrown in.  So, I thought I would share some of my inspiration for this current project with you...

Just a reminder!  The Vintage Baby Sale is still going on at High Street Market, and there are some fabulous items left in the collection!  Like this, this, and this.

Coming Up: Vintage Baby Sale!

I am very excited to announce our 2nd Annual Vintage Baby Sale at High Street Market.  This year, the collection will include a huge variety of baby items...  from fancy silver rattles, ceramic lamps and wall hooks... to vintage wind-up toys, wooden blocks, and baby brass animals.  We have over 50 items in the collection this year (I been hoarding these items all year in preparation for this sale!).  Like last year, this collection will be available for 3 DAYS ONLY!  So, I am giving you guys a heads up now!

And, since I love my readers so much, here is a special sneak peak at some of the collection...

The Vintage Baby Sale starts Wednesday morning, May 26th, at 8am EST, and runs through midnight on Friday, May 28th.

Real Wedding: Vintage Inspired

I LOVE this real life wedding of Michelle & Dave, photographed by the incredibly talented Amanda Bevington (Amanda also photographed my wedding, so yes, I'm a bit biased.  She is completely amazing and I am constantly singing her praises).  The event was designed by La Partie Events, and they seemed to have addressed every single fabulous detail!  From the milk glass centerpieces and vintage lace hankies, to the antique typewriter and self-serve Candy Bar (complete with custom silk-screened canvas totes!)... this wedding has packed some MAJOR vintage charm.  And, they did it in such an unexpected way.  The whole thing was just so chic.  I wish I was invited!

LOVE these boutonnieres!

Parasols and Mailbu ocean views for the wedding ceremony...

Check out these fabulous centerpieces using vintage milk glass and clear glass milk bottles.  I love the unexpected and completely original floral design.  Everything just feels so dreamy... oh, and the lace hankies!

The bride and groom had a table honoring their families with framed photographs...

Guests were also encouraged to leave the happy couple a "love note."  Seriously, did they not think of every little detail?

And a yellow and white themed, self-serve Candy bar!

The menu included sliders and root beer floats!

Perhaps my favorite detail of this wedding-- the ceramic blue and yellow bird salt and pepper shakers used as cake toppers!  What a seriously BRILLIANT idea.  Brilliant.

The bride wore these amazing Badgley Mischka heels and the groom wore striped socks!

Michelle & Dave seem like a fun couple and I thank them for hosting such a fantastic wedding!  To view even more amazing photographs, visit Amanda Bevington's blog here

Happy Monday!
